This is a volcanic island within the Izu Oshima island group. It is a relatively unexplored area, only accessible by local carrier boats or helicopter. The island is also known as the starscape colosseum due to the astounding starscapes that can be viewed on a clear night. It is also possible to boil food simply using the geothermal heat of the island.
